So, your female character is a warrior, yes?
So, she’s alive because she’s bloody good at it, yes?
So, you can get away with armour like this, yes?
No?
Okay, so, what about this?
A few of you are probably…
Very handy to know, especially the stuff about muscle building and how that effects physiology.
i do have one little nitpick, though! while there are certain weapons that are quite strenuous to wield, like maces, axes, and bows, the zweihander incorporated extremely sophisticated weight-reduction measures into its engineering. according to swordsmanship manuals, a “heavy” zweihander would be about 3 kg, or 6 lbs, and most were lighter than that. additionally, they were meant to be wielded with one hand near the hilt and one on the pommel, so as to give the optimum amount of leverage. so, a reasonably fit woman would have little trouble wielding one, even if she were slightly built.
source: a reasonably fit, slightly built woman who has little trouble wielding a zweihander.
